Hand-forged fire sculpture made from reclaimed steel and industrial scrap. The figure is built from twisted rebar, spring steel rod and heavy chain, forming a skeletal body that supports two elements: a steel cage lantern and a steel cauldron bowl. The lantern holds a live flame, and an integrated burner sends a controlled jet of fire through the head, giving the piece a living, infernal presence when ignited. Each weld, bend, and joint was shaped by hand at Colonial Metalworks.
The lantern is on a separate valve so you can balance a large flame above the head and have a small flickering flame in the lantern.
The sculpture blends medieval and steampunk aesthetics—part blacksmith’s forge, part post-apocalyptic art. Outdoor-rated, ideal as a dramatic garden centerpiece or event display. Built to withstand weather and heat.
Materials: Reclaimed spring steel, forged rebar, chain, and brass cauldron
Dimensions: Approx. 6 ft tall (varies slightly per piece)
Finish: Natural heat patina and oxidation
Artist: Colonial Metalworks — Artisan Fueled & Chaos Engineered
Note: This sculpture is a functional fire feature. Use outdoors only, on a non-flammable surface, with appropriate fuel and supervision.
