This diving gear desk lamp is upcycled from a genuine, decommissioned aluminum Sherwood scuba tank bottle. 

Instead of a standard inline cord switch, the original tank regulator valve has been modified to serve as the functional on/off twist switch for the lamp. The "label" on the inside of the switch knob was made from an 1960's copper penny. 
 
The tank has been cut down and features an open bottom. The power cord exits the bottle through a drilled hole at the bottom-side. The power cord was reclaimed from a discarded electronic device. 

Materials: Repurposed aluminum scuba tank body, authentic valve mechanism.
Switch Mechanism: Functional twist-actuated valve switch (marked Open/Close). 
Wiring: Fully wired with standard plug; ready for standard desk/tabletop use. Not rated for outdoor use. 
Shade & Bulb: Ships complete with a textured drum shade and light bulb.
