We recently launched a new system for selling our creations locally — a simple self-checkout process that feels as familiar as shopping online. Our goal is to make buying local art as easy and convenient as possible. This complements our existing online sales through Etsy and eBay.

Our art and metal creations are strategically placed throughout the community in like-themed venues such as shops, restaurants, and bars. For example, our Tiki-themed pieces can be found at Tipsy Tiki in Fort Pierce. These local placements focus on items that are challenging or not cost-effective to ship. In most cases, it’s not the cost of shipping itself, it’s the time and materials required to build a proper crate.

Each item features a QR code linking directly to its online listing. You can scan the code or visit the link directly. If the item is still available, you can add it to your cart and check out instantly. We accept nearly all modern payment options, including flexible payment plans.

Once your purchase is complete, you’ll receive a code to unlock the combination lock securing your item. You, and our staff, are the only people who have this code, so you’re free to pick it up later at your convenience. Once an item sells, it’s automatically removed from availability, even if it’s still visible in the display.

Please note that the staff at each venue are not employees of Colonial Metalworks. They’re always happy to help, but please be kind and considerate, they work in hospitality environments that depend on tips and gratuity.

Our online store is continually being refined to let you browse products by location, along with the many other search and filter options already available. This allows you to explore our displays before making the trip in person.

This system will keep evolving, getting smoother, smarter, and more seamless every day.
